Profile: I’ve got more missions in life than I can keep track of. From time to time, I can’t help but share. As cooking and eating are my most consistent hobbies, culinary adventures tend to dominate this site, hence the pseudonym. I’ve got some expertise in the food arena, but no official training. My cooking/eating know-how is also informed by several years in a soup kitchen cooking weekly vegetarian/vegan meals from scratch (from salvaged food, no less). My compulsion to seek out “quality” and sometimes “quantity” makes me an especially discerning (and sometimes contentious) consumer. Nonetheless, expect errors, omissions, and misinformation and when you see them, bring it to my attention. I’ll appreciate it. And SPEAK UP. I’d rather host dialogues than monologues. About restaurants, markets, products, etc: I want the good stuff to get fame and I want the bad stuff to improve or get ta steppin. Overall, I hope that some of what I go through in life benefits others, even though it may not all be pretty, proud, or 100% scrupulous.
